Ocean Revive is collaborating with Jumeirah, a global leader in luxury hospitality and a member of Dubai Holding, to advance marine restoration efforts along the coastline of Dubai. This collaboration was formed as part of Jumeirah’s wider sustainability mission. Our team was brought in to demonstrate our new suite of technologies to grow and reintroduce corals into the sea and to provide expert guidance and training in coral propagation and monitoring.
In March 2025, our founders worked in collaboration with staff from the Burj Al Arab Aquarium and the sustainability team at Jumeirah to:
Install a new in-situ and ex-situ nursery at the resort using our modular toolkits
Create 1,400 coral fragments through micro-fragmentation
Provide training to staff in coral propagation, the use of our tools, and monitoring
Launch a long-term monitoring program to track coral growth and survivorship
The Aquarium team have already begun outplanting the corals back onto the reef and these are being tracked and monitored.
